Action Plan for Strengthening Officer Recruitment, Hiring, Promotion, and Retention (October 16, 2023) - This action plan was developed in accordance with Executive Order (EO) 14074, titled “Advancing Effective, Accountable Policing and Criminal Justice Practices to Enhance Public Trust and Public Safety,” which outlines specific directives for agencies to improve policy and training, promote accountability, increase transparency, and ensure equal treatment and respect for the dignity of all individuals within the jurisdiction of Federal law enforcement.
