Reports to Congress

In accordance with the Edward "Ted" Kaufman and Michael Leavitt Presidential Transitions Improvements Act of 2015 (Public Law 114-136, March 18, 2016), OPM is required to periodically submit a report to Congress regarding requests by agencies to appoint current or recent political appointees to covered permanent career positions. This report began in 2016 and includes data about each agency request received by OPM for review.
