For added security of your information, the e-QIP System assigns a randomly-generated number to each visitor. Your web browser holds that number in its temporary memory and uses the number to establish your identity as you navigate from screen to screen. For this to function properly your web browser must allow "session cookies." Each time you load a new screen, your web browser sends the cookie back to the e-QIP System, which matches this number to your identity. At no time will any of your personal information be stored in this cookie.

Scripting:

Not AllowedScripting, commonly known as "JavaScript," allows us the ability to provide usability enhancements on many of the e-QIP System screens. If your web browser allows scripting, the e-QIP System will provide extra instructions to your web browser that perform these enhancements. Allowing scripting is optional; however, we recommend that you do allow scripting when you use the e-QIP System.

Instructions for "Enabling Scripting" are currently not available for the "Mozilla/5.0 AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko; compatible; ClaudeBot/1.0; +claudebot@anthropic.com)" browser. Please contact the agency that sponsored your background investigation should you require assistance.

Note: When you provide information on some e-QIP System screens, your web browser may display a pop up box when you click save that asks, "Do you want to remember the values you filled in?" Your web browser is asking you if you want to save the information that you provided on your local computer. This is not desired, since your local computer is not a secure location to store this information. Do not click the "Yes" button. Be sure to click the button labeled "No" or if available "Never for this site." The e-QIP System will securely store your information on its server.
