Theory of Change with Sara Vaca

As a program evaluator, you need to use a strategic approach to successfully demonstrate how your program aligns with the organizational mission and goals. This session will provide participants with an overview of the Theory of Change and how to incorporate it in your evaluation approach. Using a Theory of Change will help you to better understand the purpose of your training program intervention and how it is achieving the desired outcomes. The session will also provide information on how to integrate data visualization and the Periodic Table of Evaluation in the various evaluation stages. After participating in this webcast, participants will be able to:
- Define evaluation and theory of change.
- Describe the relationship of theory of change and its relationship to evaluation.
- List examples of how theory of change could be used to guide the development of a training program evaluation.
- Use the Periodic Table of Evaluation to review and determine the potential options for the training program evaluation design components.
About the Presenter
Sara Vaca is an independent Evaluator, with a strong passion for experimenting and sharing Data Visualization and Visual Thinking. She has written various short papers about Evaluation & Dataviz, Systems Thinking & Dataviz and other evaluation topics. She is an active member and speaker of the American Evaluation Association, European Evaluation Society, and AproEval, and a keynote speaker at SAMEA.
