OPM Director Cabaniss Visits Boyers Site

BOYERS, Pa. - The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Director Dale Cabaniss visited OPM employees in Boyers, Pa., marking her first visit to meet OPM employees outside the Washington, D.C., area during her first four months as Director of OPM.

Director Cabaniss had prioritized meeting OPM’s Retirement Services staff and getting a firsthand look at their field operations.

The Chief of Staff and District Director for Congressman Mike Kelly, 16th Congressional District of Pennsylvania, accompanied Director Cabaniss on the visit.

The Boyers location houses OPM employees who manage retirement services on behalf of Federal retirees and their survivors, as well as facilities, human resources, and IT professionals that support OPM’s Retirement Services team. Director Cabaniss also met with members of the local employee union.

OPM’s Retirement Services (RS) is responsible for the government-wide administration of retirement benefits and services for Federal employees, retirees, and their families. These benefits and services offer employees the opportunity to effectively plan and manage their retirement. RS administers the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) and the Federal Employee Retirement System (FERS), serving 2.7 million Federal retirees and survivors who receive monthly annuity payments. RS always strives to provide timely and responsive services and information to retirees and their families.
