OPM Announces Finalists for 2020 Class of Presidential Management Fellows

WASHINGTON, DC - The Office of Personnel Management has announced the finalists for this year’s Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program. Of the near 4,900 individuals from around the world who applied for the program, 402 finalists were chosen. 

PMFs serve in a variety of Federal positions across government and bring sought-after talent and domain expertise to the civil service. Throughout the next year, finalists will have the opportunity to interview with Federal agencies across government to find placements as Fellows.

BACKGROUND / FAST FACTS

-        This is the 41st year of the PMF Program.

-        The 2020 Finalists represent 61 different degree programs across 125 academic institutions.

-        The PMF Program is the Federal Government’s flagship leadership development program for advanced degree holders.

-        PMFs are appointed to a two-year Federal position, where they apply their skills while engaging in leadership development training that includes classroom, cohort, and rotational experiences.

-        The fellowship is designed to lead to a permanent career appointment at a Federal agency.

-        The program helps Federal agencies access a prescreened talent pool of highly-skilled graduates in order to build a core of potential leaders for the Federal government.

-        PMFs serve in a variety of Federal positions across government and bring sought-after talent and domain expertise to civil service.
