Yes. However, we must prorate the first COLA based on how long you were retired before the increase became effective. OPM will send you a notice explaining the increase. Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) cost-of-living increases are not provided until age 62, except for disability retirements, retirements involving law enforcement, firefighters, certain air traffic controllers, certain military reserve technicians, and survivor annuity benefits.
