Dental

Vision
Can I continue coverage if I leave Federal service?
No. Under the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP), there is no extension of coverage, temporary continuation of coverage (TCC), spouse equity coverage, or right to convert to an individual policy (conversion policy).

Long Term Care
Applications for coverage under the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program were suspended December 19, 2022. This was done to allow OPM and the FLTCIP carrier, John Hancock Life & Health Insurance Company, the time to assess the benefit offerings and establish sustainable premium rates that reasonably and equitably reflect the cost of the benefits provided.
When not suspended, most Federal and U.S. Postal Service employees and annuitants, active and retired members of the uniformed services, and their qualified relatives are eligible to apply for insurance coverage under the FLTCIP.
