CFC MEMORANDUM 2006-13 To PDF Help

April 4, 2006
TO:

SELECTED LOCAL FEDERAL COORDINATING COMMITTEES AND PRINCIPAL COMBINED FUND ORGANIZATIONS

FROM: MARA T. PATERMASTER
DIRECTOR
OFFICE OF CFC OPERATIONS
SUBJECT: GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABILITY OFFICE REQUEST FOR LOCAL CHARITY APPLICATIONS

At the direction of the U.S. House of Representatives' Subcommittee on Oversight, Committee on Ways and Means, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) is conducting a review of charitable organizations participating in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). GAO, a legislative branch agency, gathers information to help Congress establish how executive branch agencies are carrying out program responsibilities.

In order to perform its review, GAO has requested that certain campaigns provide a sample of the applications submitted to those campaigns for the 2005 CFC. The attached chart lists the charities for which a copy of the 2005 application is needed and its corresponding campaign code. (CFC Codes list)

We request that you send this information to the Office of CFC Operations via overnight express mail no later than April 14, 2006. The requested applications may be scanned and sent on a CD, if you prefer. Whether by paper or digital format, please ensure that all required documents for each CFC application are provided.

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) appreciates your full cooperation and timely response during this review. If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact Pamela Rodgers Jones at 202/606-2564 or by e-mail at .

Thank you.
